Petrol, Diesel Prices Down 10 Sen Tomorrow...Yahuu
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- Petrol and diesel prices have been reduced by 10 sen a litre from Tuesday.
In announcing the reduction today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the RON97 petrol will be sold at RM1.80 a litre from RM1.90 and RON92 petrol at RM1.70 from RM1.80.
Diesel will be sold at RM1.70 a litre from RM1.80, he said in a statement today.

Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yang berada di sini kerana menyertai sidang kemuncak Kerjasama Ekonomi Asia Pasifik (APEC) berkata, pengurangan mendadak harga petrol dan diesel yang dilakukan ketika harga minyak tidak stabil boleh memberi kesan negatif kepada ekonomi dan konsumer jika dilakukan secara tidak berhati-hati.
"Saya tidak fikir harga minyak yang rendah itu akan terus berada di paras ini. Ada kemungkinan dalam masa terdekat harga minyak akan naik. Kalau kita kurangkan harga petrol dan diesel terlalu cepat, apakah ini bererti bila harga naik nanti kita perlu naikkan harga kepada pengguna. Ini satu aspek yang perlu diambil kira," katanya kepada wartawan Malaysia pada sidang akhbar di sini hari ini.

PUTRAJAYA: Kerajaan petang ini mengumumkan penurunan harga runcit petrol dan diesel, masing-masing sebanyak 15 sen seliter berkuat kuasa esok.
Harga petrol RON97 dikurangkan daripada 2.15 seliter kepada RM2, RON92 dikurangkan daripada RM2.05 seliter kepada RM1.90 seliter.

With this, RON97 petrol will be reduced from RM2.30 a litre to RM2.15 a litre, RON92 petrol from RM2.20 a litre to RM2.05 a litre and diesel from RM2.20 a litre to RM2.05 a litre.
"As world oil prices dropped significantly lately, the government took a decision reduce the prices of petrol and diesel further for the benefit of the people," Abdullah said in a media statement released here Friday.
This will be the fourth reduction in pump prices for petrol and diesel since August. The previous reductions were made on Aug 23, Sept 24 and Oct 15.
The sequence of reduction during the period for RON97 was from RM2.70 a litre to RM2.55, RM2.45 and RM2.30 while RON92 from RM2.62 to RM2.40, RM2.30 and RM2.20.
For diesel it was from RM2.58 a litre to RM2.50, RM2.40 and RM2.20.

Tropical Storm Edouard, the fifth tropical storm of the 2008 Atlantic hurricane season, has curbed oil production, shipping and refining. But traders were discounting the risk of wider disruption to oil facilities. "It seems that the market is losing interest in geopolitical and weather-induced 'props', and instead is becoming more aware of growing supply/demand imbalances," said Edward Meir, analyst at MF Global, in a report.
